Best nutrition podcast I’ve listened to in a long time. I’ve really been enjoying learning more about UPFs, regenerative ag, eating disorders and a lot more. Many of us are trying to topple silos in global nutrition, and listening to diverse expert views (including some we won’t agree with!) while on a daycare run or fixing dinner is a great step towards that goal. It’s also accessible, practical, and super interesting - give it a listen!

I’ve really enjoyed Ty Beal’s podcast. The interview guests are consistently top-notch—people with deep subject matter expertise who can speak to the nuance (and the evidence) behind today’s biggest food and nutrition questions.
I also appreciate the breadth of topics Ty chooses. Episodes on ultraprocessed foods, sustainable diets, the “dark matter” of food, and discussions that dig into evidence quality have been especially compelling.
As a fellow PhD food systems scientist, I’d highly recommend this podcast to professionals and practitioners who want to stay current and sharpen their thinking on hot topics in food systems science today.

I get frustrated with all the contradictory health advice online, so when I listened to The Ty Beal Show it was such a relief. Ty has this wonderful way of breaking down complex nutrition science without talking down to his audience or pushing any particular agenda.
The first episode with Dr. Stephan Guyenet was fantastic - I learned so much about why our brains drive us to overeat, but it never felt overwhelming or preachy. Ty asks the right questions and actually lets his guests explain things properly. You can tell he really knows his stuff but doesn’t need to show off about it.
What I love most is that there’s no fear-mongering or miracle cure promises. Just solid, practical information delivered with a touch of humor that makes it actually enjoyable to listen to. It’s rare to find someone who can make nutrition science both accessible and entertaining.
This is exactly what I’ve been looking for - evidence-based health information from someone who clearly respects his audience’s intelligence. Already subscribed and looking forward to more episodes!

Dr. Beal invites us to the table to hear experts and researchers who have their fingers on the pulse of nutrition. The focus is not on unsupported opinion, but on evidence based, newly emerging information we can apply to supporting our own health. The podcast is a clear signal in a culture confused by food.
