What listeners say

A curated, balanced selection of Apple Podcasts reviews.

First- Dr leaf is brilliant! She provides a lot of free content and for that i’m super grateful. Similar to comments of others, Dr Leaf inserts promotional ads without conventional audio transitions - you’ll be hooked on her neuroscience teaching and then she’ll randomly start talking about her dogs or recommended vitamin supplements? It’s a very poorly produced podcast. She says her son helps her and it must just be his side hustle (?) bc it’s sooooo awkward and clunky. She certainly has the right to accept sponsorships and make extra money- but the way it collides with her content comes across as very disingenuous and unprofessional. I also notice she interrupts her guests frequently?!?!? Does she realize this? It’s like she wants to insert her own insights rather than explore and expand the ideas of her guests? I’ve tried to communicate this as elegantly and respectfully as possible bc I truly admire her work. I just can’t listen as much bc it is distracting

The way Dr. Leaf explains how the mind works is so eye-opening and empowering. Her recent episode about how political division trains your mind to fear people was outstanding and so relevant. I really appreciate how she brings science and real-life application together, helping us think healthier and live better. Thank you, Dr. Leaf, for your heart, insight, and the difference you’re making through this show.

Marisa Shadrick · Oct 2025

I love her wisdom and knowledge. But the amount of ads is crazy. They run the same length as her content due to how many there are. You can’t get a good sense or flow of the podcast because it’s interrupted so many times. That’s why I stopped listening which is sad because she has so many amazing things to share and so much knowledge on a variety of interesting topics.

crazyowls1997 · Jul 2025

I have always loved listening to Dr. Leaf. The information is so valuable. Unfortunately, the ad content has become overwhelming! I’m listening to her most recent podcast about multitasking and other habits that drain you mentally. The amount of ads continually interrupting the podcast is giving me anxiety! Dr. lia, if you need to have so many ads to support the podcast, perhaps you could try batching them at the very beginning. I really appreciate when I listen to do that. It’s very least, if you could read them in your own soothing voice instead of the jarring jingles.

I’ve been following Dr. Leaf for many years and her information and delivery is extremely valuable and life-changing. The issue is not her or her information, the issue is poor editing on her podcast channel. Every time there is an important point to be made, it is cut off by poor editing; that is often at the point of adding in marketing ads. I Don’t mind the marketing ads. I do very much mind cutting off of a statement before the final important and critical Conclusion is completed. Dr. Leaf, please check your editing department and remedy this problem. It takes away from your Podcasts and robs your listeners of the critical points. I would otherwise share her podcast until I am reminded of this poor editing.

Respectfully critique editing · Jun 2026

The content is great and informative but Dr. Leaf very frequently interrupts the kind experts (who took valuable time out of their day to do this show), and it REALLY distracts from the content of the podcast.
