Just listened to you 2026 commencement speech. Awesome. I recently retired after 45 years as a critical care nurse. Not only do I think this message is valuable for physicians, but I think every nurse should hear it too. Pretty much every health care professional should. Thank you for sharing

Interesting episode about Mocktails and cancer, but I especially enjoyed the part about silicone and plastic. It certainly peeked my interest and one to listen over and over to remember those studies you mentioned. Makes you think twice now about washing those Tupperware containers in the dishwasher, even if they do say Rubbermaid and if they are heat resistant, like the ones you get from California Pizza Kitchen.

Podcast Review: Dr. Kami Hoss on Oral Health I was disappointed by several comments made by Dr. Kami Haas during his recent podcast on oral health, particularly regarding prevention. Dr. Haas stated that he received only a few hours of education on preventing dental decay and implied that dentists and dental hygienists receive minimal training in this area. As a dental hygienist, I find this statement inaccurate and dismissive. Dental hygienists are preventive oral health therapists, and prevention is the foundation of our education and profession. We receive years of focused training in preventing dental decay and periodontal disease—this is not a minor aspect of our role; it is what dental hygiene is built on. The lack of recognition given to dental hygienists in this discussion was both offensive and disheartening. Accurate representation of our profession matters, especially when discussing prevention, where hygienists play a central and essential role in patient care.

I am a regular listener. I just listened to the James Nestor Breath episode and am so glad you featured him! I loved his book and learned so much from it. My functional medicine doctor recommended it to me. Hopefully this gets more people to read his book. I like that the podcast highlights and talks about so many different health topics. Love the call in episodes with the short answers because it’s usually something I’ve been wondering about too. Keep up the good work!

Melanotas · Jan 2026

Chasing Life by Dr. Sanjay Gupta falls flat on every level. The content is trite, with shallow, vapid thoughts that feel more like filler than substance. Despite the show's potential to explore meaningful topics about health and longevity, Gupta's commentary is underwhelming, lacking depth or any fresh insights. His choice of subjects is dull and uninspired, making it difficult to stay engaged. What’s worse is the palpable arrogance that oozes from his presentation — he seems more interested in showing off his own importance than in truly connecting with the audience or delivering valuable information. Overall, the show feels like an egotistical platform rather than a genuine exploration of life’s critical issues. Highly disappointing.

This presentation could a should have been shortened considerably. Give us what you need to know! From the information provided, it could have been done in five minutes, so give us a summary up front. Then if people want to hear the whole story, go into the longer explanations.
