What listeners say

A curated, balanced selection of Apple Podcasts reviews.

This is one of my favorite podcasts! I really appreciate Joe and everything he pours into it. I enjoy the episodes with guests just as much as the ones where it’s only him. His generous spirit really comes through, and he shares so much great information that I know will help me become a better ultrarunner. I hope I get to meet him someday!

LauriRottmayer · Jul 2026

Few folks care as much about promoting the sport and lifestyle of ultra running like Joe. His entire goal is to promote positivity in running and it bleeds through in every “show”. Him and his group is doing everything they can to promote running and helping everyone from every background be the best ultra runners possible.

bradleymw1988 · May 2026

The host seems like a genuinely good guy, and the podcast occasionally features strong guests and useful information. There are definitely moments when the show provides real value, especially when the conversation is focused. That said, the communication style can be difficult to follow at times and is far from ideal for a podcast host. The host often jumps around, over-explains points, and could benefit from being more concise and structured, or from producing the podcast with a different host. Overall, though, the show has enough positives to earn a solid rating. The host seems sincere, the intent is good, and there is helpful content here. With a little more polish and clearer delivery, it could be even better.

KP_Kelly · May 2026

The content of the show is top tier and so insightful as a new runner. However, as a podcast listener I would appreciate a slightly slower pace of talking. Because the show covers a lot of topics, it is sometimes hard to digest everything when you are talking so fast. I would also suggest less side tangent rambles or phrases like “I always say…” and less lip smacking after pauses/ums.
