Spot on assessment of ways to respond to a grieving person in Never say “Let me know if“ episode. Thank you for these insights.

DMThomas88 · Jul 2026

Sharing an experience of grief: When my Daddy died, I wanted someone to reach out and touch my arm or hug me. I didn’t get much physical connection; as if I was infectious. A coworker got the news that her dad died during her shift and her mother was coming to pick her up (an hr away). The coworker was placed in an office for privacy. I went in and held her hand, didn’t speak, and I stepped out of the office when she got a call. I wanted a few minutes & resumed holding her hand because I know how much a simple touch means to a grieving person. Thank you Jefferson for reminding us of how to honor grieving people. Best wishes!

The older episodes of this podcast are fantastic and full of highly actionable advice. Then the tone began to shift to include religious commentary. Extremely disappointed, unsubscribed.
