I’m really excited about this show! I’ve found that midlife (though I’m a bit past the “mid” part now) has been, in many ways, more artistically and intellectually fruitful for me than when I was twenty-something. So glad you’re exploring this complicated and interesting time of life.
I heard a partial preview of this show on NPR and was super intrigued by it. Has a 45-year-old male with concerns and feelings that seemed to align with much of what the preview was discussing, I thought that listening to this podcast might be helpful. However, I was disappointed when I started listening and the host essentially intimated that only women deal with the stressors of midlife. Really wish that NPR could get over the whole identity thing. It’s a very exclusionary and limiting way of looking at the world.
