Not only is this show incredibly interesting to listen to but it has helped me heal from my own past and my father’s betrayals. Knowing there are others who have went through such similar stories, all who, like myself, did not have one shred of knowledge beforehand of their loved one’s true character, has been incredibly healing for me. The survivors that bravely tell their stories are bright, intelligent, and loving. They help me see myself through a different light as a victim of similar circumstances as a child, rather than blaming myself for not knowing sooner. I’ve recommended it for my mom and sister to help in their healing journeys too. I also highly suggest the show that was made based on these accounts, it is equally excellent!

The good: interviews with the victims, their families and friends are foregrounded. The bad: the audio producers of this podcast need to do a little research on the sensory challenges of people with atypical neurology. There is no need for this ridiculous, over the top, dramatic music during, for example, the courtroom scene. As someone with ADHD, I was completely unable to listen to these segments because of the distracting, loud soundtrack. I hope that you and other producers work on making podcasts accessible to everyone.

These are disturbing stories but I appreciate that the spouses and their families get to tell of their experiences first hand. The host is respectful and while the subject matter is distressing, the focus is more on how the perpetrators lied and manipulated, and how their spouses coped with the trauma, rather than the salacious details of the crimes.

I loved season one so I was excited for season 2 but holy cow, I had no idea how good it was going to be. IMO everyone needs to hear this season. It’s a systemic problem worldwide and we need to be aware of what’s going on literally next door. It is so well done, I did not see it coming, and I can’t recommend it enough!

Why would the wife be the one conducting the interviews?! It was beyond inappropriate for her to interview the teenage victim. She also used this as an opportunity to bring up how she is also a victim, ask if the husband ever asked about her or brought her up. Beyond cringe and weird and gross.
Multiple times throughout she made the interview of a child victim about herself.
Yes, you are also a victim but the two are not comparable and the interview should have not been used in a way to put the spotlight on yourself.

It was so hard to listen to this because of the amount of ads and the length of the ad break. I couldn’t keep my phone too far away because I have to drop what I’m doing to skip the 3 minutes of ads that happen every 7 minutes. I deleted it off my phone and did not finish it at all
