I feel like Annie and I are besties- she does so well with her deep dives, with thorough research but also makes each case understandable and digestible. I look forward to her new episodes, as I love her perspective on cases, she includes her own honesty, questions, etc. She is also funny and seems to storytell from a non judgemental stance.

I listen every morning on my way to work!! I’ve been listening for months but when she covered Jasmine Fiore’s case recently I HAD to review!! I was obsessed w/ this case when it first happened as I was a teen & obsessed w/ the shows that featured the people in the episode. & the details Annie finds & shares are so good & I thought I knew it up & down but she revealed more facts I didn’t know. She’s got the best cases, best insight, awesome details, everything. If you’re true crime obsessed this podcast is a MUST!!!

Great podcast, but too graphic and sensational. I like that you include original audio clips from trials, police calls, etc. which makes the retelling feel so real and reminds us that these are real people, not just stories. I appreciate your casual and honest reactions. Two suggestions: categorize episodes based on whether they’re full stories or news updates since it’s hard to determine which are which. Secondly, all the graphic language and details often leave me feeling physically ill after listening… I believe that these stories can be told more respectfully without leaving out important bits of info, but also without further exploiting the victims, while “glorifying” the horrible acts.

I started binging this podcast at the beginning of March and I have officially listened to every available episode including the subscription episodes. This podcast is engaging and an easy listen! I used to struggle with staying focused on audio, but Annie is truly engaging! I’m sad I’ll have to find another podcast to listen to between episodes, but love this podcast!
ETA- My only critique is please don’t spoil outcomes in the title. I don’t follow true crime anywhere else, and I wish the Chad Daybell case updates hadn’t stated “found guilty” or “gets death” in the titles. I wish I would have found out by listening. I think more appropriate titles would’ve been “conviction update” or “sentencing hearing update.”

In the episode about Marlen Ochoa, Annie says that Marlen’s family believed the case wasn’t getting attention because of racism. Annie prefaces that by saying “you know I don’t do politics but…” Calling out racism is NOT POLITICAL. Racism plays a HUGE role in unsolved missing and murdered cases involving women of color. It is a fact that cases involving white victims get more attention. It is disgusting and dangerous that someone with such a big true crime platform would even think to say something like this. Do better, Annie.

Overall one of my favorite podcasts. I really enjoy the topics she covers. The only thing that takes me out of the top is is how millennial coded she is. She’s constantly dropping “literally”, “all the things”, plus so many more coated in a deep vocal fry. Regardless it’s a very engaging podcast and I always tune in.
