I want to thank Annie for her courage to speak up about her personal experience with PPD. As a mental health therapist, I understood postpartum depression but, it wasn’t until I had my first child that I really understood it. Because I had enough left of myself, I recognized what was happening as I started to rapidly slide into depression. I was able to stop the descent with support from some very close therapist friends. It’s sad that so many people just don’t want to believe that this can happen or that women can control what’s happening to their body and brain. I don’t know what to think about Lindsay Clancy specifically since I don’t have all the info. Her journals possibly being used against her is, in my opinion, awful. Journals are sometimes where people write their deepest and sometimes most disturbing thoughts. It doesn’t mean they want to do those things. It sometimes just means it has been in their head and they need to get it out. And, please Annie, if you read these, please know that your mental health comes first and maybe your sister or another person can report on this case for you. There is no reason to cause yourself such emotional distress when it clearly remains so tender and close to your heart.

I felt compelled to write this review after listening to your episode on Lindsey Clancy. First…I am SO proud of you! Girl you are strong and have been so vulnerable during this episode. Whether you know it or not, you have helped a mother to prioritize her health in a difficult season! You did something so hard to help bring awareness to a subject that is stigmatized beyond comprehension! Thank you! I also suffered from PPD after both of my pregnancies. I was ashamed to have these thoughts and took so long after my first to seek help. My second I was more prepared but still ashamed. Thank you again for all you do and your perseverance on this episode!

I really wanted to like 10 to Life because the cases themselves are genuinely gripping and well chosen. The stories have all the ingredients to be compelling, emotional, and thought-provoking.
Unfortunately, the narration consistently pulls me out of the experience. The delivery feels flat and underdeveloped, and there are moments where important details are glossed over or explained casually in a way that feels dismissive of the story’s weight. In one episode, the host introduces a term and openly says she doesn’t even know what it means which was jarring. It comes across as either a lack of preparation or an indication that the detail didn’t matter enough to research, and both undermine credibility.
True crime lives and dies by storytelling and depth. Here, the narration lacks urgency, emotional engagement, and polish, making it hard to stay immersed despite strong subject matter. With tighter research, more intentional language, and a more compelling delivery, this podcast could be excellent—but as it stands, the execution doesn’t do the stories justice.
