Former Bachelor Clayton Echard’s casual one-night fling turned into a paternity nightmare. When the news broke about the scandal, no one believed Clayton at first. He was a reality TV star, and an unpopular one at that. Clayton found himself trying to prove the truth, while trapped in a web of lies, manipulation, and threats. He would soon discover he was not the only one. At its core, this is a story about who you believe and why. It’s an epic battle that would take a group of strangers, citizen sleuths from across the world, to crack the case and finally hold someone accountable. New episodes of Love Trapped are released every Thursday, starting February 26th, 2026. And it lived up to the wait! Just finished the first 2 episodes and this is outstanding! I was watching Dave Neal since before the story broke and have followed along every step of the way. I can’t count the number of times my jaw dropped as this all unfolded in real time. I already appreciate the tone and tenor of the host and the balance and objectivity she is pursuing. I have the hardest time trying to explain this story to my family and friends and now I can send them here! Thank you so much for helping to share this crazy tale that has affected so many lives!
Listening to the first two episodes, then finding Ep 3 not yet available…arrgggh! Stephanie is very clear in laying out the facts of this mystifying story. This is not easy to do, as I know firsthand from having tried to explain to friends and family just how crazy it gets. If I hadn’t followed the ‘Jane Doe Accuses Former Bachelor Clayton’ case from Dave Neal’s first mention of it, I’d never have believed it — yet already I’ve picked up a couple new details from the first two podcast episodes. Clayton’s description is accurate: just when you think it can’t get any more bizarre, you find another layer, another twist. Stephanie, thank you for digging in as deeply as you have, including seeking out Laura’s perspective. It’s fascinating to try to decipher why she’s made the choices that put her life on its current downward trajectory. At any point, she could have reversed this by acknowledging her duplicity, her forgeries, and the serious harm she’s done to at least four men over more than a decade. Instead, she’s now facing bankruptcy and 14 felony charges. I’m eagerly awaiting the next episode(s) of Stephanie’s skillful presentation of this real life tall tale.
I was genuinely excited to listen to this podcast, having followed the story since it first became public. Finally, an easy to follow way to share with my friends! The podcast is super engaging and easy to follow, doing the story justice.
Truly a wild ride. Extremely well researched, reported, and written. It makes my head hurt thinking of all the files Stephani and team had to review. Theme song SLAPS! Can’t wait for this season.
