For years, some law enforcement agencies have replaced the faces of traditional playing card decks with images of missing and murdered people and distributed those cards in prisons hoping inmates would come forward with information needed to crack these cold cases wide open.
Now, audiochuck is dealing you in.
Each week, we will be working with investigators and family members to bring you the details of some of the coldest cases from around the country in hopes that someone listening can finally bring these victims the justice they deserve.

Season 1 of the deck investigates tore my heart out, stomped on it, and then threw it away. I ended the series crying thinking about Darlene, how much she loved her children, and how in her final moments all she cared about was keeping them safe. This podcast is so well done, Ashley is a wonderful story teller.

This is a well researched and presented podcast about cold cases. For the life of me, I can’t figure out what people mean when they say it’s “too political.” It sounds like people are just looking for something to be angry about. I enjoy how the narrative is told in these cases and there isn’t excessive banter like other true crime podcasts. Not that there’s anything wrong with that, I just prefer this approach. These episodes play out like little documentaries with interviews with reporters. It’s very good.

This and all of Ashley’s other podcasts used to be my go to’s BUT the level of greed that drives a person to do over half of any half hour podcast in ads must run deep. It is insanely excessive how over the top they have went with it. It was never like this in the beginning and no other podcast is this excessive when it comes to ads. Just leaves a bad taste in your mouth especially knowing how many podcasts she is doing this on! I have since unsubscribed from all of them. The minor amount of content in each episode isn’t worth the time.

More genuine empathy and fewer sensation adjectives and sound effects would be so much less cringey. It's a shame because the research seems good. One of those exploitive shows family members probably endure for the sake of exposure but shouldn't have to.
