ResponseABLE Parenting

by Becky Jennings

We come to parenting with all the patterns we learned in our own childhood. Together in this podcast, we uncover the roots of our reactivity and grow in education, capacity, awareness, and skills so we will be able to respond vs. react to our strong-willed children. The beauty of this process is as you become a ResponseAble Parent, the "misbehavior" of your children will lessen, the yelling will fall away and a new level of companionship and cooperation will take its place. Welcome to the journey of ResponseAble Parenting. Take a deep breath in, slow exhale out, and let's get to work.

What listeners say

A curated, balanced selection of Apple Podcasts reviews.

This podcast is so good and gives good practical tips. All these things I struggle with!! Points I’m taking away: 1. Regulate our own emotions before we work through their emotions. 2. Ask ourselves, what would help you? What would I need in that moment? 3. Connection and Influence instead of punishments. 4. Choices for things to do. 5. Allow a safe place instead of danger/scary. Thank you for this conversation. I look forward to listening to Becky’s other podcasts as well. I can relate to the videos on Instagram and I would like to find better tools.
