What listeners say

A curated, balanced selection of Apple Podcasts reviews.

I had first heard this podcast many years ago, but it seemed too intense for my early adulthood — I was looking for tips, tricks, and easy hacks. Now as I’ve matured in both my outlook on life and in my needs running a household, I’ve realized that Lisa’s approach to household management is indispensable for those truly looking to stop spinning their wheels at home so one can just go on living life. This podcast takes seriously the role of home economics from a both a practical and academic standpoint without veering into cheap pseudotherapy. Though it is not exclusively for women, it deeply values the invisible work traditionally associated with females without mommy war politics. The back catalog is vast and honestly so valuable it’s a shock it isn’t paywalled as offered as separate courses.

I love Lisa and the podcast. It would get a 5 if she didn’t talk about MLM so much. She’s admitted it’s a bad business model, 99% of people do not make money in them. She knows they don’t teach about income and that most people lose money because they aren’t doing or taught to do a P&L. She had to be in 10 at once to make money, yet still continues to talk about them without a disclaimer every time. Lisa wants people to find their unique purpose, which is not an MLM! I wish there was little to no mention of them, and at times they are mentioned to point out how scammy they are. Love the products and podcast. It has helped me level up more with the ability to do more for my family and myself. I will continue to listen and support, while cringing every time MLM is brought up.

I’m so glad I found this podcast! It’s so easy to listen to and relate to while giving the most helpful guidance. Lisa’s story is very similar to my own and I can definitely relate her experiences. She has figured out the best way forward and I am hoping to do the same.

I have listened to this podcast for a while, and I loved episode 625 especially. In addition to her useful tips, Lisa is such a great storyteller. All of her words seem to serve a purpose, and she is very relatable. I feel sharpened and inspired by her confidence. She makes operating at a higher level feel like an easy, reachable goal. I enjoy that she shares her personal story.
