As a collective we’ve largely lost trust in the body’s innate wisdom to give birth without interference. In hospitals, low-risk births can quickly turn high-risk—not because the body fails, but because of the cascade of interventions. Birth is safest when supported, not rushed. A healthy, low-risk woman rarely becomes high-risk unless unnecessary interventions disrupt the process. Thank you for helping me understand & respect my bodies natural & Godly design!!!

I have loved this podcast for years. Having had one hospital birth, one with a midwife and three free births I wish I would have heard this podcast in 2012 for my first baby. Fear mongering and the selfish money making machine of the medical system has no place in birth. Live free, birth in peace and self love and happiness.

I used to like this podcast because I’m all about empowering women and families to have choice in their bodies and births, but once I became aware of the seriously dangerous neglect and misinformation that is spread by this pod and their team, I had to remove my support and let others know. Women have a right and good instinct to provide the best care for their children. Emilee takes that good desire, stokes fear and distrust of imperfect medical systems, and pockets millions of dollars (approximately $30 million to date?) while women and infants die of basic, preventable complications. Then she reframes death as an “acceptable outcome.” Emilee also takes advantage of the frequent traumas and loss of agency experienced by women. She asserts that an unassisted birth will provide healing and a restored sense of agency. True agency comes when resources are available and at the command of a woman. A disavowal of legitimate resources (medical and otherwise) is not freedom or power. If trauma is characterized by helplessness and a lack of an empathetic witness, then a “wild birth” actually leaves women more vulnerable to new traumas. The misinformation promoted by Emilee (and Yolanda) is dangerous to women, children and the men who love them. At minimum, the platform should include a strong warning with fact checking regarding actual maternal and infant mortality rates when subscribing to these practices. There is a way to critique the failures of medical systems without “throwing out the baby with the bath water.” The legal system may not be able to convict Emilee of the harms she has caused (she has employed excellent lawyers and legally evasive strategies), but whether she owns it in this life or not, she is “radically responsible” for the trauma, harms and deaths of countless women and infants. My heart breaks for women who are entangled in her lies because of their good and right desire for agency and love for their children. - Signed, a former birth worker who has unfortunately witnessed the harm of these teachings first-hand.
