Love the story of growing a foot care service on this podcast. So sad the organization doesn’t prioritize billing for the services. I’ve seen nurse- provided foot care make a difference for a family member in assisted living!! It’s a great opportunity for nurses to obtain this certification and take the skills in the direction they want their career to grow!!

I listened to the suprapubic development of best practice guide podcast and there is conflicting statements compared to the 2012 WOCN published best practice clinical guidelines proper securement of indwelling and suprapubic catheter. Per2012 best practices all suprapubic catheters to be secured to lower abdomen with an adhesive type securement to prevent infection, erosion, etc….. during podcast it was said to secure using thigh strap which noted in 2012 guidelines can migrate and can venous obstruction and thigh being an option. I worked very hard to implement changes in my facility to follow best practice and currently following 2012 securement guidelines. Please clarify as I found this podcast causing me more confusion than clarity due to conflicting information
