Erin has a way for making the podcast educational and personal. Very approachable information. I have sent episodes to my clients! Recommend for sure!
As a therapist, it’s been super helpful to be able to refer my female clients to this FREE resource. There is SO much great information in these episodes for women looking to increase their understanding of how their physical body/symptoms impact their thoughts and feelings. You are a gift Erin! Thank you!
I don’t know what’s better, the education I receive or just all the good hormones/chemicals released while I laugh at Erin’s delivery and personality. It feels like getting health advice from a friend. It’s not condescending…she doesn’t throw around big terms that are hard to figure out. Her info is easily digestible, pun intended. 100% worth a listen.
As someone who’s been on a long journey with fatigue, gut issues, and hormonal imbalances, this podcast has been a game changer. The host breaks down complex topics—like blood sugar balance, inflammation, and the gut-brain connection—in a way that’s both evidence-based and completely relatable. I appreciate the functional approach that gets to the root of the problem rather than just treating symptoms. Each episode is packed with practical takeaways you can actually use, whether it’s what to eat for hormone health, how to interpret your own lab results, or which supplements are worth it. I find myself re-listening with a notebook in hand. Highly recommend to anyone who wants to feel more in control of their health—and finally get answers that conventional medicine often overlooks. You’re missing out if you don’t listen!
I want to start out by saying that there are a few episodes that have some helpful information, especially if you are new to the world of functional medicine and gut health. I actually used to listen almost every week and for a long time, I did my best to overlook the aspects of this show that I didn’t particularly think were beenficial. That being said, as of 2025 the “Funktional Nutritionist” brand as a whole is not one I would recommend to anyone. First and foremost, the host is not a medical provider or dietitian yet she teaches a course for practitioners that costs $20,000 and certifies you to do… nothing. That is more than a year of grad school cost me in medical school. She promotes a lot of supplements that don’t have any clear benefit or indicated use for the majority of the population, many of which you will hear about in the podcast ads. If you visit the website for her practice, you will see that she sells a $850 monthly membership (that costs more than concierge functional medicine at my local clinic with an actual MD) and sells a “Gut Panel” package, which is only a standard GIMap test. The package costs nearly $600 yet I regularly order GIMaps for my clients and they are only $320. I’m not sure why there is such an uncharge, but given the asinine rates she charges for everything else, I’m not surprised. When you dig deep enough into her content, it is very clear that she places a high value on money and wealth. She even has a class called “Manifest Your Wealth” that costs $300 where you can learn ‘money rituals’. Aside from the scammy, materialistic aspect of it, the new age, occult lean of her content is extremely problematic. I have spoken to several people who have been blocked from viewing her social media accounts after asking her questions or making a comment that did not fit her narrative, which is a huge red flag. As a public figure, especially in the health and wellness space online, you must be okay with having people disagree with you. Blocking people who ask a question you don’t want to answer is shady behavior and shows a serious lack of integrity.
