This podcast is the true story of a sociopath whose only goal in life was to be someone powerful and important, even if she had to lie, cheat, and steal to achieve her goals - and she did - victimizing countless people to feed her ego. She was hiding from justice, until the makers of this podcast put their heads together to take her down - and they did! It’s a remarkable, binge-able story of how a scammer got scammed out of hiding to face justice.

I’m enjoying the story- the narrator (Amanda) did a good job in sequencing the story telling (especially since I think it’s her first podcast? I might be wrong). The editing could use work for sure(choppy, some dialogue should be re-recorded) , but happy to give 5 stars because I keep listening and would listen to another pod if she had another compelling story to tell. Keep working on your editing skills and keep up the good work!

Amanda is a good storyteller. This first podcast on the Megan Stoner is both crazy and sad. Def worth a listen. Editing is a little rough in some episodes but not bothersome enough to make me not listen. I am sure it will get better with time and experience. Keep up the good work, Amanda.

Very interesting, and sad, story on so many levels. I appreciated the chronicling of how things happened from the community that was impacted, instead of listening to someone else recap it.

I truly never give bad reviews on here… if I don’t like something I usually move on but I CANNOT WITH THIS.
Honestly, the things Stoner did are messed up… but the way you guys played her is too. You did not have to include all that you did about her sharing her trauma to the whole world via podcast. It could very well be true (ex. Rape kit), or she could truly be mentally ill and that’s how she remembers a traumatic event. Also the episode with a therapist…. Love all the info regarding diagnoses, but it really seemed like she was talking too much about Megan and not being general. Clearly she is not Megan’s therapist and cannot diagnose her. I understand that was stated but it still seems to cross a line.
I appreciate that you want to “love your neighbor” by stopping Megan from hurting others and small business owners… but you didn’t have to make this podcast. She’s been prosecuted, she has further cases pending. This is unnecessary… love your neighbor by praying for her and praying she gets the help she needs. Then go give the money you are getting off the ads on this (which you said multiple times in early episodes you wouldn’t do 🙄) to a mental health program to help people get treatment and not make the mistakes Megan did.

I came for the story about Megan Stoner but stayed for a while because the host is tragically, comically, incredibly un self aware. How many podcasts in before there’s any discussion of Megan’s actual crimes, four? Five? The rest of it is just breathless outrage about how Megan managed to single-handedly wreak havoc on the Indiana Republican party over a period of several years which imo qualifies as a public service to the people of Indiana. Had to stop listening at the episode discussing assault allegations because the host, despite her glib caveats, handles the subject in a way that is insensitive and unabashedly predisposed to take claims that Megan’s accusations were false at face value. Just a total mess, albeit one that’s darkly funny for a while.
