Been listening for 6 months and I really appreciate this group’s views on investing and their no-nonsense advice. They have great chemistry between the three and Joe never fails to completely screw up some (often several) words in reading the questions on the show. I appreciate the perspectives of both a CFP and a CPA, and enjoy listening to Andi and Al laugh at Joe while he laughs at himself. A lot of the questions come from people like my wife and I (have a big-assed wallet) and it’s good to hear tips and tricks to keep doing what we’re doing…even better.
I listen to a lot of retirement podcasts. I’m listen to them while I’m trying to go to sleep, but I have to stop doing that for this podcast because it kept me awake because I liked it so much. This is a really great podcast for people who want to get a better sense of practical issues that people who are retiring face. I do wish they had more people who have less than 5 million net worth but it’s still interesting to listen to.
Joe, Al, and Andi make a fantastic podcast (as do the others who pull it all together). I’ve been listening to them weekly for more than 3 years now. I’m still enjoying the side stories (Al’s Hawaiian vacations especially) and as I become more comfortable with the lingo I see why I appreciate their perspectives. We’ve worked hard to understand our financial future and likely needs, and their spit-ball analysis paints a picture of enjoying the fruits of that hard work. Keep it up!
One of my favorite podcasts, financial or otherwise. Love the no-filler, no-ads - just financial “spitballs”. Thanks!
Entertaining show with some useful input into retirement strategy. Understandably the “spitballs” are limited in the detail and scope they can provide, so suggestions can come across as repetitive after a few episodes. The feedback provided also is overly conservative at times, failing to consider all guaranteed income or diminished spending as you age when setting appropriate target withdrawal rates.
