I’m 59 years young and navigating the many complex pieces of retirement planning — portfolio strategy, Roth conversions, Social Security timing, estate planning, Medicare, long‑term care insurance, charitable giving, and more. Tyler has challenged me in the most important way: in my thinking. He asks, “What is it all for?” and keeps every conversation concise, understandable, relevant, and delivered with charm and humor. I now have a clear plan with yearly actions and milestones for the next decade. For the first time, I feel confident that I can do this. Thank you, Tyler.
Tyler is a blend of Stephen Covey ('Seven Habits of Highly Effective People') and (insert personal financial guru's name here). Not only spectacular personal financial insights but some great life advice. Tyler breaks down concepts into easy to understand points that are not only insightful but also actionable. His podcast episodes are so good I'm listening to previous episodes as often as I can (since I was not aware of his podcast under recently). If you want to improve your personal financial understanding (and thus your outcomes) take a listen and you will not be disappointed.
Without a doubt, Tyler is the best financial podcaster around. He’s very well researched, easy to understand, gives you the knowledge and tools to manage your own money, and — most importantly — isn’t trying to sell you financial products on the side (although the LMNT recommendation was spot on!). He’s a bit contrarian — but that’s exactly the view you need in a world of overpriced and undervalued financial products.
As an illiterate investor this has really helped me find a path. I may have had to listen 2x or more but my confidence is growing exponentially on what to do with what Ive saved. He speaks simply. Thanks Tyler!
