I have been listening to the guys since they first started their podcast and the growth has been amazing! Listening to them talk about G Wagons and attending UFC fights in older episodes (among other things)to these things actually happening made me proud! Authentic while still being funny, couldn’t ask for more up. Big ups!

Nothing quite like a genuine friendship and the antics that ensue. Thanks for the laughs and the unexpected wonderful informal book club. After hearing the hilarious first Court of Thorns and Roses summary, I’m tearing through the series. Please do more reviews! They’re hysterical and as an American, I love to hear your slang and effusive descriptions!

A colleague/friend sent me a hilarious IG clip of the show. I watched more clips and listened to one episode—I’ve looked forward to Mondays ever since. I love their vibe, humor, and intellect. They’re also really supportive and encouraging for each other which I haven’t noticed in many podcasts, Shxts & Gigs personalities don’t compete with each other. Love this podcast

ShxtsNGigs, you owe me gas money. 🤣 I used to listen to you two on my drive to and from work, but I had to stop because your nonsense had me laughing so hard I’d miss my exits, miss my turns, and end up driving into a whole new zip code. Now I only listen at work sitting in my corporate office pretending to “review reports” while James is screaming “fam!!!” and Fuhad is calmly hitting us with therapy but make it funny. Every time you guys get to the “ick” of the week or the ‘Would You Rather’ section, I have to mute my Teams mic so HR doesn’t catch me cackling like I’ve lost it. You all are my coworkers now. I clock in with you. You make spreadsheets bearable and HR emails tolerable. I’ll be 3 seconds from quitting this 9-to-5 and then James will yell “RAAAHHH” and suddenly, I’m healed. I didn’t even ask for a raise anymore. That’s growth.👀 This show is my Roman Empire. I think about it daily. You’re not just a podcast, you’re a lifeline. You’ve helped me through boring Mondays, soul-sucking Wednesdays, and passive-aggressive Fridays. 10/10. Would get fired for laughing again. Never change, just grow. I loved this podcast. But I can not support men who tear black women down. I can not support anyone who would willingly laugh at racist “joke” directed at black women. Disappointed doesn’t even begin to explain. I hope you do better in the future.

As a Black woman, I’m greatly disappointed in the two of you. You both have some deep healing to do to push past the negative narratives you have established towards Black women. Life is hard enough for us. This show has been what I turned to when I needed to laugh. It’s the first thing I would go to at the end of a long day to dissociate and put me in a happy mood. I hope you both find the healing you need and stop adding to the torment of Black women. We really need it.
