What listeners say

A curated, balanced selection of Apple Podcasts reviews.

Grateful to have found Tim Dillon through the JRE. I’m battling postpartum depression & health issues while making a big career change, and this podcast has been an escape for me. I like to listen on runs or while doing housework. The recent segment on Cameo made me laugh for the first time in a while. I do wish Tim would lay off the McGriddle attacks, as that’s my favorite guilty pleasure and absolutely delicious (in moderation). Anyway, I appreciate you, Tim, and thank you for being a source of joy and, dare I say it, normalcy during this time.

Found TD after one of his appearances on The JRE. Immediately looked up this podcast and was fortunate to go see him after he advertised he was coming to Phoenix, AZ for 3 nights at a local comedy club. The wife and I went to the Friday show and had a great time. We appreciated the comedic relief during this pandemic or whatever. I’ll keep listening as long as y’all keep uploading content!

Clever use of comedy to discuss rather dark situations. Tim always makes me laugh as he puts his very unique brand of humor on these times we live in. We all need Tim Dillon; have a laugh!

I think Tim Dillon is absolutely hilarious, but unfortunately I only listen to certain episodes because so much of the podcast revolves around politics. I honestly don’t care about politics, regardless of which side it’s coming from. When Tim talks about other current events, ridiculous stories, people, or just whatever else is going on in the world, it’s usually absolute gold. He has a way of taking normal events and making them completely hilarious. With the politics it feels like he’s doing the exact same episode week after week. Same political topics, same types of rants, same general format. There are definitely episodes where he’s on fire, but lately it can feel repetitive.

I love Tim Dillon. I vibe with his sense of humor. So this review is not easy. The latest episode with Alex Jones was jarring. The conversation around Jan 6th, Sandy Hook, and the Ukraine War lacked crucial context. Tim and Alex had narrow focus on questionable evidence, and derived biased conclusions. And, when evidence was lacking, they passed on very simple conjectures as plausible motives. For example, with the escalation on the Ukraine war, they didn’t acknowledge the years of geopolitical tension of Russia and surrounding neighbors. And, when they discussed the motives for US intervention , they only suggested greed as the primary motivator. I think stymieing aggressive countries that are against our interest is a plausible, and more likely, driving motivation. Overall, it was difficult to consider their rationale on all the topics they jumped around on. Tim makes me laugh so much. But when it comes to substance on critical matters, I’m disappointed.
