Post Games

by Chris Plante

Post Games is an audio magazine about how and why we love video games. Each week, host Chris Plante reports on a new, overlooked, or underappreciated topic in gaming culture. Why do people play games that scare them? Why do great games sometimes flop? How has one award turned tiny indie game makers into big-name millionaires? With original interviews, writing, and a traditional audio-magazine structure, Plante keeps things entertaining, informative, and always under 90 minutes. Because Post Games is meant to be listened to, not buried in a backlog. Learn more at www.post.games.

What listeners say

A curated, balanced selection of Apple Podcasts reviews.

Post Games is the podcast I suggest to my non-gamer friends to convince them that there’s an intelligent, funny and most of all, hugely artistic world they are missing out on. Throw in an episode with my other favorite show’s host - Russ Cradle from Retro Game Corps - and you have a solid gold show!

This is genuinely one of the most insightful and unique gaming podcasts out there. I’ve enjoyed Chris’ work for well over a decade, and listening to him and the gang on The Besties every week is always a great time, but Post Games really lets his skills as a journalist shine. He’s a masterful interviewer, a fun host, and he covers topics that, frankly, most other gaming media either ignores or only mentions in passing. If you have any interest at all in video games, the people who make them, the industry surrounding them, and the communities that enjoy them, Post Games is a 100% must-listen.

I came to Post Games a fan od host Chris Plante’s other work in video games journalism and podcasting, and it immediately became one of my most anticipated listens each week. The show’s format and focus on interviews fills a void (one I didn’t even realize was still there) left behind by the gaming magazines I read as a kid.

Alex LaVelle · Jul 2026

This show is so thoughtful and informative on many aspects related to video games! Chris finds interesting angles to approach the subject and regularly books great interviews that peel back the curtain for those who care! Thanks for a great show, looking forward to listening for a long time!
