The gold standard daily news show for games. Funny, smart hosts and sharp production. They do not shy away from delving in to the challenging realities of game development and the industry at large. A+
Too many times the ads are not being edited out of the Subscriber feeds. Sometimes they get cut out of the beginning but not the middle or not edited out of either parts. This has been going on for months and not been fixed. I don’t mind paying the $10 every month to support, but I do mind not getting what I’m paying for and feeling taken advantage of.
The negative reviews are all dumb grifters complaining about ‘wokeness’ and politics ruining the podcast. As a long time KF listener, those people have clearly never understood or listened to the group. One even said they comment on politics too much. I listen to almost every episode and politics is like .01% of any of their conversations. Sure, KF has never been shy about standing up for humans rights, but saying it’s too much is a wild take. Besides, they’re decent human beings and they use their platform to further that. Regardless, each person on KF has a unique personality and they show up with their best each day. Their chemistry as a group keeps me listening and you can see in their shows that they strive to do better as people and as entertainers. Great people, great group!
Love this crew and supporting via Apple Podcasts. Super enjoyable listening and variety of content and personalities keeps things fresh. Keep it up - to another 10 years!
I’ve been listening almost since the beginning (4 - 5 star rating) and recently, over 6 - 8 months, this podcast has turned political (0 - 2 star rating). The overall rating on the Apple Store has slowly fallen since I’ve been listening. It’s tough to listen to people speak about politics on a gaming podcast so frequently. Even more difficult is that much of what’s said is incorrect. Many (everybody?) use podcasts as an escape. Sometimes, Greg will try to “save” an episode by commenting as to why discussing politics is important regarding its influence on gaming but it’s rarely relevant. This would be a great podcast if there was an edit that’d remove the political commentary. I still wish for the crew at KFG to correct the current direction and return to form. Read the recent reviews. My review is an incredibly common theme.
Gaming is an escape for me. An escape from the grind. I play games to give myself a moment of reprieve from it all. These guys have funny bits, game shows and do a daily news show on gaming that I thought would be right up my alley. I’ve been listening for awhile now and think if you choose this show you should know that it’s not just gaming. It’s basically an opinion show exhibiting their rudimentary understanding of politics and economics as well. You can definitely tell that they are a San Francisco based company and that their opinions are heavily rooted in their own echo chambers with little to no room for conversation to the contrary. If they could keep politics out of it, just talk about the games, just games. I would have a vastly different opinion of them.
