I love the everyday format. The fact that there’s always a different topic is great. If I don’t really resonate within the first couple minutes with the topic I can skip and come back the next day. I love the different voices. Blessing and Andy are great. Obviously everyone else is amazing but I look forward to whenever Blessing and Andy are on.

I have a landscaping business and work outside all day. Listen to Video Game Podcast more than music or anything else. Pretty sure you guys are my favorite. Always entertaining and everyone on the cast balances each other out nicely. Just found the other channel that has daily updates. I am super excited you guys always help an hour to go by quicker!

I’ve been listening to Kinda Funny since it was the GameOverGreggy Show, and they were still with IGN. I don’t catch every episode and fall in and out of watching/listening, but whenever I come back, I feel like I pick up right off where I left off. I can always rely on the crew to put out an enjoyable episode to watch or listen to. After 10+ years of following them, I look forward to the next 10+ years.

Early in 2024, this show changed formats from a weekly podcast to a daily one. While this new direction started strong, a lot of more recent content has suffered for it.
Previously, there were many different shows with an individual focus coming from the KF crew, making the shows more memorable. Or maybe I skipped the ones that weren’t because they weren’t showing up in my podcast feed. Either way, the content created in general has become less appealing to me.
Three shows within a week on one game? Kinda crazy, in my opinion. Especially when it’s exclusive to a single platform.
A predictions episode for some press conference one day, a recap of the conference the next? With no breathing room, it leaves no space for one of these shows to exist except in that moment. It expires in the span of the day.
Ultimately, much of the content has become forgettable. Disposable. It exists, but it’s of the moment, those moments are fleeting, and it’s on to the next thing.
What is the solution? Better, more meaningful topics. Trying less to be of the moment and more forward (or maybe even backward) looking.

Having listened to the Besties podcast, which is excellent, I felt like Kinda Funny was inferior in every way: less respectful of my time, less insightful--and, despite the name,
less funny. It's not terrible, but the Besties sets a high bar that Kinda Funny just can't reach.
