Great podcast. Used to read their reviews in magazines growing up and now listen to their podcast. Just some friends talking about games they enjoy whether they are new or classic. Makes me laugh more than any other podcast. No ads and it’s free. Hope to be listening for a long time to come.
You are going to listen to this podcast because of CJ, Phil and Greg, or you will not like this Podcast because of CJ Phil or Greg. This is not some over produced generic podcast just talking about the same video game news you have already heard about. Instead it’s just three friends hanging out talking games (occasionally). I love it and have for nearly two decades now.
These guys have been doing this for well over 12 years and yet it always seems fresh. I am always amazed not only of their industry knowledge, but their ability to remember names and details on the fly. The Patreon weekly game show is always fun to play along. Thanks for all you guys do and here’s to another 850 shows!
I can’t remember if I’ve done a review or not but I’ve been listening to P1P for over four years. I love listening to these guys recount their lives working in the industry during a time when I was young and impressionable. They stay true to their character about current day events and aren’t impressed by random twitter junk that would spark three videos by any other YouTube channel. If you like reminiscing about the history of games but still catch the big news of the week subscribe and enjoy.
Two of the three hosts are engaging, informative and entertaining. The other is so stuck in repeating over and over and over and over the same tired schtick and annoying interruptions and repetitive attempts at humor that it drags everything down. Come on guys, it’s been years. Let’s get the child to grow up. It’s become a tiresome chore to listen.
