I have been listening to gaming based podcasts for over two decades…over the years I have dropped almost all of the gaming based podcasts except for Rebel FM. I appreciate all of the hosts different perspectives and recommendations. Their discussions also feel natural versus other podcasts out there.
As a listener since the first episode, who hasn’t left a review in 14 years somehow, I can say that I am always looking forward to listening to that weeks episode. The crew always has such a good dynamic discussion about whatever is on their minds, and you can tell the guys have a special friendship that it is great to be parasocially involved in I love & appreciate these guys, and more people should too!
It's less expensive to review Than to ko-fi.... This is one of like 4 podcasts I've kept up with throughout the years and the only podcast I've listened to every single episode of. It isn't overly produced or systematic (this is a good thing), and it doesn't bludgen you with adds. The hosts are entertaining, highly knowledgeable, and very respectful. Even when they have disagreements, they present their arguments well, and hear each other out. The world would be a better place if more people treated each other the way these guys treat each other and their audience. The only real complaint I have is that this is usually just 3 dudes talking about video games. It would be nice if they diversified their cast more regularly, but for a podcast of a bunch of dudes talking about video games, you can do way way way worse. This is one of the best out there :)
Like some others here, I've listened since episode one. Like some others I have tuned out at points for various reasons (virtue signalling, Arthur dominating the conversation or being condescending, etc). But I've always come back to Rebel because I respect all of the hosts as experts in the games industry. My one request is more shows with only Arthur and Anthony because their chemistry is really great. Tyler should make a reappearance at some point, too!
Anthony is really the only likable one and I followed him here from the Comedy Button. He’s really down to earth and is a cool guy. Arthur is a mega douche and might be the least likable podcast member I’ve heard in some time. Matt is absolutely boring to the point I don’t have anything to say about him. I guess I do enjoy some of this pod because it’s pretty lean. They get straight to it! There isn’t a lot of filler and they have been doing this for a long freaking time which is impressive
