Having made my way through the entire podcast once (and the 2020 reboot-present era twice!) over the past 3 years, I can confidently say I love Alex Jaffe’s Insert Credit Audio Magazine in each of its many forms. And now it’s better than ever! However, there was a huge change that gives my glowing recommendation a substantial caveat… For a while they had this great little bit that wasn’t necessarily a joke (maybe a quip?) where a panelist would repeat the phrase “one day early?!” every time they listed the Patreon perks. I know they stopped doing early access a long time ago, so it wouldn’t make a lot of sense to revive the quip, but I greatly miss it and the extra moment of mild humor it brought to the show. But if you can stomach the loss, the Insert Credit Audio Magazine is the best game-centric podcast you could ever make a part of your week!
i love this pod, such lovable and knowledgeable hosts, fun concept, no nonsense. somehow makes me both inspired and relaxed. could not recommend more
Seriously, I laughed so loud in the grocery store that it made me look crazy. I listen to video game podcasts while working, so like 30-40 hours a week. I save Insert Credit for personal time so I don’t miss a beat. The crew knows their stuff, they stay on topic better than most podcasts, and honestly, they all seem like awesome people. More so now that Ash has joined the crew. Also, Brandon, if you read this, I laugh at all your jokes. Especially the ones no one laughs at or go unnoticed. Your “10-9, or possibly zero rating” about cats/buttholes, mwhaa! *chefs kiss*
The host says the most random hilarious things. I like how they don’t do the old whatcha been playing and news segments like other podcasts. It somehow remains relevant to current events but also celebrates retro games.
