This show has ruined other gaming podcasts for me. I really appreciate the pre-recorded format with an interview sandwiched in the middle. I love the relaxed approach with a very structured format and keeping user interaction to a minimum. So many podcasts spend so much time just reading comments and responding to them and it’s tiresome. Avoiding the “live” format allows for a more polished experience so I don’t have to sit through 5-10 minutes of people fixing their mics. Other gaming podcasts should take note, this is how it’s done.
I’ve listened to every episode and only wish they made more! This is a standout group of video game journalists (although they wouldn’t coin the term themselves, I don’t think) who consistently set the bar. All 3 consistent hosts have unique perspectives, and frequently have incredible guests ranging from developers, studio heads or other industry giants. This is THE gaming podcast if you ask me. Thanks for doing what you do. ALSO - make some merch, take my money!
I’ve been looking for a new gaming podcast for a while now. I always hear Jake mention his podcast that he does with the homies when he’s on the Gameranx channel and I finally gave in and checked it out! The dynamic between this friend group is exactly what I look forward to on Sunday mornings while I’m making coffee and relaxing. Also, that theme song is infectious, please make it available for download haha! Thanks!
I came to this podcast as a fan of SkillUp’s youtube channel and have loved spending time with all these creators. There’s a great mix of personalities, palpable chemistry and real insight into the gaming industry and everything around it. They are never afraid to crack jokes or tangent at times but know where to draw the line and don’t degrade their product to boost an entertainment factor, relying instead on their personalities, knowledge and passion for games to carry the show. New podcasts always need a growing period to understand what works and what doesn’t and despite starting very strong off the bat, they have taken feedback and made alterations which continue to improve the overall product and encourage an atmosphere of community. Great work Ralph, Lucy and Jake - keep up the good work, tie your shoes and go to bed!
