What listeners say

A curated, balanced selection of Apple Podcasts reviews.

In all seriousness, this podcast has been amazing help after my T1D diagnosis. I love listening to everyone’s stories. You never know which ones you will relate to and pick up something helpful. My A1C went from 10.4 to 5.2 just 3 months after diagnosis. It was possible between a lot of hard work and tips I picked up here. Thank you Scott!

I’ve been living with T1D for almost 50 years and thought I know everything that I needed to know by know. Was I wrong🤣! My wife pointed me to the Podcast about 3 years ago after hearing about it from one of her elementary school teachers. I started out slow, hit and miss with episodes here and there, but quickly became hooked and have learned so much more about how to make educated decisions about changing my pump settings. The tools on the website are invaluable! I can’t wait for the next episode to come out. Scott understands this disease like no non-diabetic I’ve ever met does. The FB group is also awesome. This is something that the diabetes community has needed for decades. Scott, thanks for all you do!

I’m so glad I stumbled across this podcast! It’s the perfect mix of humor, real-life experience, and incredibly valuable diabetes education. The host is absolutely hilarious, which makes every episode enjoyable, but what really sets this podcast apart is the depth of knowledge and insight he brings to every conversation. I’ve learned so many things I never would have thought to discuss with my diabetes care team, and it’s helped me become a stronger advocate for my own health. Even though we’ve never met, I genuinely feel supported. It’s honest, encouraging, and reminds you that you’re not alone. The guests are always fantastic too,-fun, engaging, and packed with knowledge and different perspectives. Every episode leaves me with something new to think about or apply to my own diabetes journey.

If you or someone you love is living with Type 1 diabetes, stop what you’re doing and listen to this podcast. The Juicebox Podcast is one of the most informative, honest, and life-changing resources I’ve found. It doesn’t just teach diabetes management, it gives you the confidence to make better decisions. The conversations are raw, real, practical, and backed by experience, without making you feel overwhelmed or judged. As the parent of a child with Type 1 diabetes, this podcast has helped me understand the “why” behind the numbers, become a stronger advocate, and approach diabetes with far less fear and far more confidence. Scott has a way of asking the questions we’re all thinking, and his guests bring knowledge, compassion, and real-world experience that you can’t get from a textbook. Whether you’re newly diagnosed, have lived with Type 1 for decades, or are a parent, caregiver, partner, or healthcare professional, there is something here for you. Every episode leaves you with practical takeaways that can truly improve quality of life. Thank you, Scott, for creating a community that educates, empowers, and reminds people that they are never alone in this journey. This podcast has made a genuine difference in our family’s life, and I recommend it to everyone connected to Type 1 diabetes.

There is a lot of information, however there is a lot of repetition and the host is obnoxious. He is busy talking about himself versus the information needed. It would also be helpful if the titles told the user what the podcast subject is so that they can listen to podcasts about a needed subject.
