Bryan is an excellent educator. Whenever I need to better understand or clarify a topic, I go to HVAC School for clear and detailed information- and it has always worked well for me.
Been listening for a long time. 19 years in the industry in northwest Florida. Find myself not only learning new things but finding new ways to articulate things I’ve always known to my employees. Very interesting and informative.
Mr. Orr has truly hit gold with his ability to spread knowledge on a career that has often suffered from insightful teachers. He brings along a cast of other experts that each provide an excellent viewpoint on the trade. There is no other single individual out there doing as much as Bryan does for the HVACR. This podcast is a MUST-listen to any technician serious about their trade.
Lots of valuable information for the new and experienced hvacr techs/mechanics. The white shirt podcast is a good listen and something new techs should be aware of that they don't tech in trade schools. My first job was residential while going to school and I hated it. The employer cared about upsells and getting a salesman in the door. I was good at resolving/fixing the customers problem but was not good at selling. I was threatened with termination weekly for not meeting sales objectives. Anyhow, I moved to commercial refrigeration where mechanical and technical skills are wanted and awarded. Love what I do now. People interested in this trade should definitely be made aware of how many residential hvac companies do business so they know what they are getting into. If you like fixing and solving problems then residential is not a path you'll enjoy. At best it's a stepping stone into the commercial side. Sorry for the rant but no one talks about this. Appreciate you diving into it a bit.
