Deeply touching story, told beautifully by those who were there. Very meaningful to those of us who have thrown ourselves on the pyre of ballet, but no interest in ballet required in order to love it.

i binged all episodes in one sitting. what an amazing story… highly recommended for anyone who has ever studied abroad, loved ballet, russia or just a compelling tale.

I came upon this randomly, and absolutely loved it, and was moved to tears in the end. Loved the idea of researching a parent’s memory and gaining perspective, as well as the evolution of your mom’s perspective.

I loved listening to this. Great storytelling and what a generous gift to find Natasha for his mum! I am left with a couple of burning questions, though. Does Natasha have any insight about the isolation and water only diet? Was the plan to just let her waste away? And was Natasha given the job of getting Debbie out of the country or was it a secret mission?
