Ben is such an amazing interviewer and is truly compassionate. The stories are well told and are told without a lot of nonsense.
Ben is a great host and extremely empathetic. I enjoy the fact that these are stories from real people. Ben does a great job. I like his calm and caring approach to people who are sharing very deep and personal secrets.
Just started listening to this podcast a few days and I’m absolutely addicted! I love the chemistry of the hosts and look forward to binging over the weekend! Unique, thought-provoking and funny! Keep up the great work! 👍👍👍
There have been great episodes, but it was incredibly disappointing to hear Ben laugh along with a guest who admits to extortion and concocting false allegations for petty revenge. It’s fine to let a guest dig their own grave, but you don’t need to join them in it. You can do (and have done) so much better. Regretfully unsubscribing.
It pains me to write this because I really, really like Ben — but he deserves better than the immature, boring guests that volunteer to tell their “secrets.” Problem is, most of them aren’t secrets at all. This most recent season is just full of lame interviews about broken relationships and juvenile misadventures told by narrators who appear to have very little insight into their own stories. I really enjoyed the first few seasons, but poor casting has turned the show into an extremely frustrating listening experience.
It’s OK. I like the concept of the podcast, but sometimes the stories are so long and drawn out, that I forget what the story was even about that I clicked on. Like get to the point already. If you’re going to make them describe every detail of their entire life, at least make sure it’s at least relevant to the story. I wish it wasn’t set up so much like an interview, but more of a storytelling. The host could stop talking so much, so the guest wouldn’t get sidetracked, and actually tell their story. This could be a way better podcast, with simple tweaks.
