No joke, I’m a therapist and used the smell my touch episode to teach sensory awareness principles from DBT to the kids I work with.
I haven’t listened to all the episodes simply because I favor the games eps more than the conversational ones because the only time I listen to Distractible is when I do long drives — I have not crashed while listening (yet). I enjoy playing along or imagining what the three are doing, especially in the drawing eps. This is a good podcast to keep yourself awake, have a good laugh, and be (responsibly) distracted :)
It’s called “Distractible” for a reason- it does exactly that, but it’s not so distracting that it prevents me from getting work done. It’s like hanging out with your friends for an hour while you clean your house or do some work, you listen and laugh (sometimes too much, DON’T LISTEN AND DRIVE GUYS!!! 😐😐😐), learn new things, and all around have a good time- every episode. Good work guys! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I found Distractible while looking for a fun diversion (back in season one). Years later the “game” format and the sincere friendship between the team keeps this show entertaining and evergreen. Keep talking about Shakira, lenses, and nightmare refrigerator delivery…. (I turned around…)
Disappointed to hear Mark so casually reference using AI to make something. I thought Mark would’ve been more attuned to the plight of artists who have their work taken without their consent for generative AI, because it impacts YouTubers/voice actors/writers as well (which he is.) I just can’t support a show that supports that, even if it’s just one host. Thank you for the funny memories though.
