Welcome to THERAPUSS, a talk show that puts Jake Shane, in the proverbial therapist’s chair. Sitting down with amateur “Therapuss,” Jake’s followers will enter a deep dive therapy session that is both tongue and cheek and deeply introspective. As in Jake's viral Instagram series, Tell Me What's Wrong, guests ranging from industry professionals to his roommates will partner with the "Therapuss" to help their fans through their current drama. Through a website submission system, audience members will now have a direct line to Jake who happens to know a thing or two about FEELINGS.

Jake is honestly a phenomenal interviewer. He asks really deep, unique questions to his celebrity guests and I really appreciate that as a listener. And the episodes with his friends are really fun too. I love that he’s super authentic always.

oh my gosh the KW episode was incredible, you guys had such great rapport!! Jake, i love how you brought your identity as a fan into the interview because it injects such wholesome & genuine energy into the conversation. Scandal as a through-line actually provided such a great framework for Kerry to talk about so many of her different projects that were happening in tandem during those 8 seasons. i love how intentional she was about naming all of the people she’s worked with along the way. Jake, it seemed so meaningful to Kerry to have so much love & appreciation reflected back towards her; i imagine you both left that interview feeling three feet taller!!

First, he clearly does ZERO research on his guests. Which could be interesting if the point is something like “I’m going to learn about my guest during the interview”. BUT he is so self centered during interviews. The guest will mention one little thing and Jake turns the conversation onto himself. He goes on a tangent, tells a super long story about himself, and forgets that he even asked the guest the question. Eventually it’s as if the guest is the one interviewing Jake because he keeps turning the conversation to himself. It’s infuriating.

My younger sister likes this, but I think it’s aimed at her age group (11-14). Great for kids, but other than that, you’re not going to find much here.
