Dave & Chuck the Freak: Full Show - Podcast Rankings and reviews

I have several comedy podcasts in my playlist of various improv comics out of LA, but after I discovered Dave and Chuck the Freak, EVERYTHING has gone by the wayside. I not only get to keep up with weird and perverted news, but I also get to enjoy amazing improvisation by them about the topics at hand. I love that these hosts have been working together for decades and their banter is incredibly hilarious. I am going through their old catalog off their website so it ends up being 9 hours of my work day with their non-stop ridiculousness and informative content. These peeps bring so much joy to my work day that I actually look forward to going to work and having their voices in my ear holes!

I’ve been listening to Dave and Chuck for 20 years. They are the best. Lisa, James and Andy are awesome as well! They are hilarious and fun and (although I’m sure they don’t always enjoy this part) I feel like after all these years I really got to know them. They’re honest and make my commute to work bearable. I listen live on the way to work and listen to the podcast (the parts I missed) on my way home.

I hope they’re on the radio for 20 more years. I’ll listen wherever they go!

I stumbled upon this at work listening to another radio show.. I would listen to them for 3 hrs then Dave and chuck came on. I literally laughed out loud for the whole show. I’m absolutely hooked now. I listen to old shows till the new one drops. Guys are absolutely hilarious. Keep up the good work! Oh ya I’m ruined for any other radio show going forward.

I listen everyday. I laugh so hard that I cry. The people that phone in are funny too. They are an awesome group and truly compliment one another. I love them all.

I love this podcast but having to navigate 5 segments to hear 1 show is absurd. Here’s an idea, 1 segment = 1 show. Sounds like the old format. If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.

Worst yet is having ads in the middle of a bit during the show instead of what would normally be a commercial break. Very consumer unfriendly.

If I’m to be force fed ads, please get something other than Draft Kings. Promote gambling, then tell them to seek help if they have a gambling problem. Awesome.

I guess it doesn’t matter, my skip 30 seconds works just the same. I just have to do it more often now.

I hate to give this 2 stars because Dave, Chuck, Lisa, Andy and James are fantastic and are not to blame.

Well…. I tried to give it a couple weeks without James before blasting the show. Truth is, it’s not the same for sure and never will be. For all new listeners, they’ll never notice the change. For everyone else, it’s obvious. Time to turn the page I guess and attempt to love the show all over again. You can feel the awkward tension in the room when Dave or Chuck wants to bounce the bit off James but they have to almost catch themselves and redirect. Jason is a great part of the show is his OWN way. but he is slowly trying to play the homoerotic roll of James and it’s making the show feel fake. I’ve been listening to this show for about 15 years, so maybe my opinion is bias as they almost feel like long distance family. This is not a “1 star bash the show to bring James back” review. It’s my complete honest opinion on the “new show”. I will continue to listen as it’s become my daily routine, reminiscing on the past like a sequel to a movie that just doesn’t stand up to the first.
