As a first time reader who found this podcast halfway through my reading of The Dragon Reborn, this podcast was a lifesaver. I realized there were so many small details I’d missed, and overall the hosts taught me how to be a better reader of this series. I listened to the full backlog of episodes, listened to each chapter as I read it, and felt more immersed in the world than I was on my own. However, around the Lord of Chaos episodes, I started scaling back and only listened to episodes covering important chapters. The reason was entirely driven by Brett’s commentary - he unfortunately often belittles Dani’s ideas, laughs when she doesn’t understand something, and refuses to see things from a new reader’s perspective. There have also been several instances of Dani expressing her thoughts on how female characters are treated by male characters and Brett brushing these (extremely valid) critiques of the writing aside. I do still listen to the podcast as needed, but as I’m now starting Towers of Midnight for the first time, I’m more comfortable navigating on my own than hearing a chapter breakdown with a side of condescension.

My brother-in-law introduced me to TWW podcast when we both embarked on our own first-time journeys into the Wheel of Time series. I AM SO GLAD HE DID! Dani and Brett have been a key part of my reading experience and I truly couldn’t imagine the series without them. They do an AMAZING job of breaking down the chapters, refreshing on details I may have forgotten or didn’t clue into initially and keeping it super spoiler-free. All while bringing the fun facts and laughs along the way. Thank you so much for not only creating this podcast but making it sooo enjoyable. I’m only on LoC now but look forward to many more books worth of content!

Not only are Dani and Brett excellent at helping first-time readers through the books, they also put together a great product. The podcast is very polished, engaging, and an all-around good time. A great companion for my commuting travels.

Whenever I finish a chapter in my book I’m so excited to listen to Dani and Brett go over it! I’m currently on The Gathering Storm and have been listening ever since Eye of the World. This podcast is so great because it’s spoiler free past the chapter they are covering. So you can jump in wherever you’re at and follow along on the journey! This book series is dense and you will get so much more out of it if you listen to the Wheel Weaves alongside reading. Not only will you pick up on details you missed, but you will also feel a sense of community!
