As an aspiring author, I’ve found otherppl to be quite valuable. And entertaining. It’s been helpful to hear authors tell of their journey to publication. My personal favorite episode is with Sam Tallent. And I’ve taken notes while listening to the craft work episodes. Overall, I think it’s the best literary podcast out there, and is continually improving. Brad has a knack for keeping the conversations relaxed and meandering in the best way.

Every episode is full of insight into what it means to be a writer at basically any level. Listening to old episodes in the car has become part of my daily routine. When I feel myself struggling to continue on my current project, I pick an episode and allow the experiences of another author to inspire me to keep pushing.

I love to read but I have trouble finding my next book and Brad never let’s me down. If you’re someone who doesn’t want to just pick up the next bestseller, you want something that expand your understanding of people or just this world in general, Brad delivers! Joining the book club is one of the beat decisions I’ve ever made! The interviews are superb and he satisfies that curiosity I always have about the author and their origin story. I’m stuck in the midwest and Brad delivers some much needed book culture.

I love author interviews. Especially those that delve into aspects of the craft that aren’t typically covered. Brad Listi’s podcast delivers all of that and so much more. Truly grateful for this. I’m only sorry I didn’t leave a review sooner.
