Girlscamp

by Hayley Rawle

I deconstructed my Mormon faith down to the bone—and when my dad died, the deconstruction shit really hit the fan. Now, Girlscamp isn’t just about what’s fallen apart, but about exploring what might come next. Around the campfire, we’ll swap stories from life after faith shifts, laugh at the quirks of high-demand religion, and dig into the ways Mormonism shows up in our culture—from pop culture and art to media and everyday life. I’ll also sit down with voices ranging from therapists to philosophers to everyday people reimagining belief, as we tackle what it means to live, love, grieve, and grow once certainty is gone. Honest, curious, and a little irreverent—because that’s what Girlscamp is all about.

What listeners say

A curated, balanced selection of Apple Podcasts reviews.

i'm not/never was lds, but am navigating my own faith transition, grieving process, womanhood, being married young, etc. this podcast continues to be so thought provoking. i'm still religious so i can't always relate to everything, but it's so, so comforting to know i'm not the only one grappling with these questions and challenges after leaving a high-demand setting. thank you especially for the eating disorder episode. i experienced a severe ed as a teenager, and i have never heard anyone explain how strict religious environments can impact this issue as well as you and your guest explained it. this episode made me feel so seen and gave me so much to reflect on. hayley, i so greatly appreciate you, your guests, and the conversations you facilitate here 🤍

heylookitsclaire · Aug 2026

What an absolute gem of a podcast and host. Never in my life have I been able to accurately articulate how I feel about religion until this podcast. Hayley is so educated in the subject and is a true comfort. I never want the episodes to end. Thanks for being a small comfort in the big scary world❤️

Madsjmans · Jul 2026

I’ve never met a girlscamp episode I didn’t enjoy listening to. I’ve cried, I’ve laughed. Hayley talks about so much more than just Mormonism (which is great cus I’m not Mormon!) she talks about Christianity in society/American politics, spirituality, tv & social media, culture, parenthood, friendship, truly everything. This podcast is my ritual and I love it!! Thank you thank you Hayley 🫶🏻

LAU city · Jun 2026

This podcast has been such an essential listen during my religious deconstruction. Hayley does a great job of balancing thoughtfulness, intelligence, relatability, and fun. Couldn’t do this without her.
