I wasn't expecting The List to hit like this. I thought I was tuning in for another sex and dating podcast, but what Kirra and Elvira have created is something different. It's raw, real, and deeply human.
What makes this podcast work is that it doesn't shy away from the details. Sex isn't treated as a punchline or something to whisper about. Instead, it becomes this honest roadmap through someone's life. The messiness, the joy, the grief, it all comes through. You're hearing a life that's been fully lived, told by someone who's earned the right to tell it exactly how it happened.
This isn't about shock value or trying to top the last story. It's about giving people agency over how their experiences are shared. And in a world full of hot takes and quick fixes, Kirra and Elvira are doing something rare: they're just listening, and letting the stories breathe.

It’s not often you come across a podcast that gives a voice to real life intimate encounters that isn’t trying to dissect them or use them to teach a lesson. Just raw real life experiences from the mouths of the people who lived them. Kirra and Elvira leave space for these stories to land with the listener how ever they may. Simply presenting one true fact. We all have a list. Some of them are just more colorful than others.

We need to talk more about sex, there’s no doubt about that. The List is like the wiser, much more sophisticated older sister to Call Her Daddy, a full expression of someone’s humanity (their personal narratives, relationships and sex lives) while being bracingly hilarious. I have no idea how Kirra and Elvira have found such fascinating people and captured the magic of hearing their elusive life story at a party, but this podcast episode brought me back to how beautiful and messy humans can be. It somehow feels like it gives people the agency they are craving over the narrative of their sex lives. I’m so looking forward to hearing more.

This podcast is honest, intimate and entertaining. Our relationships and sex lives shape so much of how we experience ourselves and others, yet they’re often treated as private footnotes rather than meaningful parts of our human stories. I love that the List brings these experiences into the main storyline with candor and humor.
