l get it, Carol is the main character, but I feel like on the podcast they praise her way too much. Everyone seems to believe she is this deeply sincere, good person, when in reality she is privileged and selfish to the point where even the “others” had to take a break from her. That scene where she throws up after realizing her outburst killed millions of people, treating it like it proves how genuine she is. But honestly? Getting sick and sad is just a normal biological reaction when you cause a tragedy. It doesn't mean she's a good person. At her core, she's just lonely and if zosia agreed to stay and love her, Carol wouldn't care about a cure at all. If it weren’t for the last couple episodes, I probably would’ve called it quits on the show entirely. But Manousos really brought back the heart of wanting our world to be normal again, and not for selfish reasons. The show needed to show some respect and heart for the others, Manousos really brought that. It’s nice to see someone who deeply respects the infected. He believes that when they get cured, they are going to wake up remembering everything right up to the exact second of the change. That’s why he leaves money or notes. He’s treating them like real people whose lives were just interrupted. He keeps the rules of the real world alive. And Carol in my opinion, doesn’t really think and wants the “normal way” back regardless of how that may be. Her actions show me that she’s preparing for a total reset because she treats the world like a lawless playground, looting stores, and grabbing whatever she wants as if nothing from the past matters and nobody is going to remember anything. She treats the “others” as her personal servants. Anyways, all I know is that I decided to continue with the show, and look forward to finding out what the ending is going to be? And especially excited for more episodes with manousos. LETS WRAP THIS SHOW UP
I love the insight Chris and his guests offer to supplement each episode. Made me rewatch a few scenes and appreciate the artistry even more. You will keep us coming for more. Good job!
This is such a great podcast. Chris McCaleb is a great host. I love that I can enjoy this as a fan, as a cinephile, as an actor. It’s covers all the bases for me. Vince adds great insight from a production and story standpoint that really helps you appreciate the work that goes into his shows. The on-mic chemistry and respect really comes through. It’s awesome to find such a close knit group of creatives that are so down to earth. And Chris has such a great voice - perfect for a podcast!
I’ve just watched the episode so I’m glad it’s not a recap show. I know nothing of the film and TV industry but really enjoy all the behind the scenes info. I love the interviews with the different departments and what it takes to make a show. Kelley Dixon started these podcasts, Chris picked it up and continues the tradition. Already looking forward to season 2.
Would’ve loved to hear from Rich about how him and Nito pulled off the convergence scene at the hospital. I was lucky enough to see the army of PA’s and AD’s in action in person and that team deserves their flowers.
