Excellent series! Well done! Clear and informative!! Respectful of the victim and respectful of the desire for privacy from the family! Highlights how even a mold mannered man is capable of horrendous behavior.

Well done storytelling about a woman who seems to have been forgotten. It would have been interesting to hear from her daughter, but realize she may not have wanted to be involved. I thought it was well told. Creators gave a voice to her name and life.

I am so impressed with this podcast. I am not lost with podcasters throwing people into the recording without knowing who they are and this gives a true “story” from beginning to end. I ENJOYED it because I could picture it in my mind. It was t so fast that you have to keep rewinding because you keep losing moments at a time because you can’t process it fast enough. I really enjoy Phillips narration. He’s a joy to listen to. His voice is gentle and he makes you feel like he’s a friend. A concerned friend. I hope he’ll be doing more investigations soon. I’ll be the first to sign up. Oh, certainly not the last thing to say but the story is heartbreaking and it makes me so angry that this woman will never have justice. She didn’t deserve what happened to her. Thank you, Phillip for investigating and getting in touch with so many people. Your dedication is clear and your heart is changed by this story. Keep up the great work and may Karen rest peacefully now that the truth (suspected truth) has been revealed and that she is buried near her parents. I wish her sister peace and her daughter love knowing her mommy didn’t leave her. She was loved all along.

I was also thrown by the long pauses in the editing and I kept thinking my AirPods had glitched out. Very distracting and pulled me out of the story every time. The story was super interesting, kind of jumped around a lot. Maybe I missed it, but what about the daughter?! Did we ever hear about her now? I can’t imagine how awful this must be for her. Overall pretty good show. Thanks for getting me through a Saturday laundry marathon lol

There are good things about the pod but some key issues. There were several great opportunities to build suspense and lead the audience to a twist that were not taken. Instead of giving theories as real possibilities that we could invest in, the theories/leads were presented already telling us they weren’t correct so it felt like “then why are you telling us about this?” The narrator follows a repetitive vocal pattern in most of his sentences, even multiple clauses in the same sentence follow identical vocal patterns. He needs to mix it up. Editing: there were so many awkward long pauses. Several times I thought the pod had paused or my phone had died or something. The biggest thing: there wasn’t enough to this story for this many episodes. Two episodes would have been sufficient.

Sound issues make it difficult listening. The host sounds like he is reading a script and every sentence sounds exactly the same. The volume/pitch of all of the voices goes up and down, making it hard to hear without constantly adjusting my device volume. I am going to keep trying, but probably won’t finish it.
