You've built a full life. The career, the family, the responsibilities, the goals — all of it.  And the fuller it gets, the more stretched thin you feel. Not because you lack the discipline or drive to figure it out. But because your nervous system was never upgraded to match the life you've built.  High Capacity is the podcast for ambitious women who are done just managing their stress and are ready to actually expand what they can hold.  Hosted by trial attorney turned nervous system strategist Michelle Grosser, each episode unpacks the nervous system science behind why you feel maxed out, reactive, and depleted — and gives you real tools to expand your capacity across every area of your life. This isn't just about doing less.  It's about becoming someone whose nervous system can hold more — more joy, more presence, more of the life you've worked hard to build, and more of the demands that come with it — without the low-grade stress that's become your new normal. Here’s what you’ll learn: - How to expand your emotional, stress, physical, relational, and joy capacity - Nervous system-based tools that work in real life, in real time - How to identify your Capacity Pattern — the specific strategy your nervous system defaults to when you're overwhelmed — and what it means for your stress, your relationships, and your daily life New episodes every Tuesday and Friday. Tuesdays bring the nervous system science and tools. Hi-Cap Fridays give you one practical move to expand your capacity in the week ahead. What listeners say

A curated, balanced selection of Apple Podcasts reviews.

Learning about nervous system regulation and somatic tools has been a game changer in understanding my reactions and my relationships. It has helped me understand the reactions of those around me and has helped me decide to bring more peace into my life. Years of struggling with anxiety and trying to “outthink” myself is now improving with this work.

Thank you, Michelle for this podcast. So many of your episodes, including 5 Burnout Red Flags Every Perfectionist Needs to Know have been tremendously helpful to me. I have a better understanding of myself and how to heal through listening to your podcast than through talking to my therapist. Keep up the great work!

Financial Coach Sabrina · May 2025

I first heard Michelle Grosser on Andrea Allen’s Make Fit Simple Podcast talking about burnout and ways to regulate your nervous system. I have been able to utilize so many of her tools and continue to learn more in every podcast. I can’t recommend this show enough and the way Michelle describes and breaks down complex issues is so helpful. Thank you Calm Mom, you are so so appreciated.

aubjoy411 · May 2025

I have been living in a chronic state of burnout for 5 years after having kids back to back while working full time in a high stress job and being the primary financial provider while my husband started a business. I was always on edge, quick to snap, and dealing with significant hair loss. Taking a “night off” or a “bath” were not solutions that were going to solve this. This podcast does a great job of explaining the science behind burnout in a way that makes sense and gives practical solutions. Hearing burnout described this way was exactly what I needed. So happy I found this podcast and after listening for a couple months and implementing small changes I can already feel myself healing. I would recommend to anyone - even if you don’t have kids- to listen to this podcast.
