Hi Nay is a horror fiction podcast about Mari, a queer Filipina immigrant to Toronto, whose family's shamanic nature gets her involved in supernatural happenings in the city.
I can't tell you how much I love this show and it's format. Each episode seems like it comes at you in a different way, from just the main character telling talking to her mom on the phone to fully voice acted scenes to a radio call in show about weird things happening in Toronto.
One thing I love about this show is it's LGBTQIA+ representation. Multiple characters are queer and that fact isn't really brought up, because that's just who those people are.
Everything is well acted and the story being told starts with one or two things happening, but then a larger story starts to build around those happenings. The monsters and people that appear in the show are fascinating and terrifying at the same time.
Please listening to this show! It's great!

If you like The Magnus Archives or Old Gods of Appalachia, You will absolutely love this podcast! It’s spooky, and the combination of Filipino folklore and lore-building specific to this podcast is amazing. The characters are well-written, and it has a fun, modern style. This is one of the most underrated podcasts, and more people, including you who are reading this now, should give it a listen. You won’t regret it!!!

From reading the summary, I already expected this to be good, but I was not prepared for just how phenomenal the story and characters are. Hi Nay starts out strong from the first episode and just keeps getting better. I just finished Episode 8 and I’ve already experienced so many emotions and am so excited to keep listening. I cannot believe this started coming out in 2020 and it took me this long to get into it, but I’m so glad I did.

This has been on my list to get to for a while but I finally have started and binged it over a few weeks. The horror is incredible. The characters and representation both queer and cultural is incredible. I’m a Filipina American who is very far removed from my culture but this pod gives me so much cultural connection and more information and things to look up. All around a fantastic podcast.
