I cover a diverse range of scary stories: stalker stories, paranormal encounters, unsettling mysteries, glitch in the matrix experiences and even the occasional true crime story. I am an avid listener of paranormal, creepy, true crime, etc., podcasts. I like that Raven just jumps right into telling stories and there isn’t 20 minutes of banter first. And they are a great reader. My criticism is that there are so many user submitted stories that are a big Nothing. And I think often times, stories are coming from the perspective of listeners who so desperately want to have their own experience to share that the content ends up being a mixed bag. While there are plenty of spooky, believable shared stories, there are just as many, or more, stories that I believe are being told by very paranoid people; people who see something sinister in something that likely is entirely mundane, or simply a lapse in memory (or perhaps just a very vivid dream). There’s a plethora of glitch in the matrix stories that surround “I had this thing, I knew where I left it, then it wasn’t there. It must be a glitch in the matrix,” or “I was driving behind a car on a small road on my way home from work, and then it stopped in front of me in the middle of nowhere, nothing happened, but I think they were trying to traffic me.”
Perhaps Raven doesn’t use a high bar intentionally, to balance the legit with the more paranoid-minded stories, but I think that these more forced “I just want to be part of the club” anecdotes clutter the episodes and make me tune out.

Great narration, great delivery. The user-submitted stories are a bit repetitive at times, but entertaining, and sometimes you come across a gem. They've gotten me through quite a few days at work. I hate that I even have to say this, but it's nice to hear a short-form content creator THIS prolific who isn't delegating his work to AI. Five stars for that alone. Stay organic.

Love the compilation style like Let’s Read and Let’s Not Meet/Odd Trails. Also reminds me of their calmer, quieter voices as well as of course the queen’s… Scare You to Sleep’s Shelby Scott. This is up there with all of these. Somehow no stories duplicate on any channel and they’re all still unique in their own way. I love the raven caws intro. I love your voice! Perfect amount of and placement of ads, I appreciate they aren’t suddenly loud in comparison because I do listen to these while falling asleep and while asleep. I love the longer episodes. Glitch in the matrix episodes set this one apart from them ALL. They are so so good. So happy I found this! ETA: Absolutely LOVED the story you wrote, Can you hear that? So good, so glad to hear a personal touch in there. It made me think it’d be a perfect episode from Tales from the Crypt or something back in the day. Lol My favorite!
