This is my favorite podcast! I love the combination of paranormal stories with Roz’s charm, humor and energy. She is a very skilled interviewer and I relate to her fun attitude towards the paranormal. The early episodes especially have some really intriguing guests and analysis. I have been a fan of Roz and the Ghosted pod since 2020. I love Roz, her guests, and the segments have me laughing out loud often. Having the episodes released on Mondays is a great way to start my week.
Below is a creepy story that happened to me just this morning. Roz, do you think this was paranormal?
This morning at 3:45 a.m., I had the worst night terror of my life. I’ve had them since I was a kid, but I haven’t had one in over a year — and never one like this. My husband said I let out the most horrifying scream he’s heard in the twenty years we’ve lived together.
Night terrors aren’t really like nightmares. They aren’t long stories you wake up from. They’re flashes. Sudden, snapshots of terror: shadow figures standing in doorways, snakes where there shouldn’t be snakes (like in bed), spiders dropping from nowhere. Pure panic before your brain even understands what it’s seeing.
But this one was different.
For a split second, there was a man standing directly in front of me. Thick gray hair. Gray beard. Glasses. A zipped-up windbreaker. His hands buried calmly in his pockets. He wasn’t lunging at me or doing anything threatening. He was just standing there, looking at me.
I woke up on the floor screaming, with my husband holding me and trying to calm me. Eventually we got back into bed and fell asleep again.
Then this afternoon, while we were in the kitchen making lunch, he asked if I’d seen the notification about the garage door opening on its own this morning.
I hadn’t.
I immediately asked him what time it happened, already feeling my stomach drop before he answered.
“4 a.m.”
Shortly after when the night terror happened.
He checked the Ring camera footage. The motion alert went off at the same moment the garage door opened.
But there was no one there. Nothing in the driveway. Nothing in the garage. No movement at all.
Just the door opening by itself.
