Only thru the first episode and I’m sobbing. Amika’s story is so powerful, relatable, and important. She also humanizes women behind bars and puts into perspective how differently we treat men and women when they commit crime. You can hear the pain in her heart and feel how good of a person she is. F- yeah, Wondery does it again. 👏👏👏

This podcast is really intriguing! I worked as an EMT for 10 years and found myself struggling with addiction also. This story could very easily have been mine. I related in so many ways. Being a recovering addict, living in a sober house so far from my children has been so difficult and painful. I am 2 years clean and sober, but not being able to hug my babies has been unbearable at times. Thank you to the amazing women who shared their experiences! Thank them for their service! I found this Inspirational and encouraging! ❤️❤️❤️

I love a podcast that, like a book, I can’t put down. This story is captivating and eye-opening. Part true crime, part documentary, all exceptionally produced. I can’t wait for new content from Anna Sussman, I’m blown away.
