Dalton is a minimalist (if that’s the right word) - He shuts up and lets the guest do the talking, only chiming in or asking questions when necessary (the Ben Stoeger episode being an understandable exception). I sincerely appreciate this, along with Dalton’s focus to always bring the story back on track after a tangent is taken. I don’t care about the host’s opinion (in general) - I’m listening to hear what the guest has to say, and Dalton’s choice of guests has been top notch. Keep up the good work!
Dalton does a great job interviewing his guests and allowing them the time they sometimes need to explain everything. He doesn’t rush to the next question and makes it genuinely a great conversation rather than a Q &A. Wish he had more!
Doesn’t interrupt his guests. Dalton actually allows them to finish their sentences and thoughts and THEN asks insightful questions. He selects quality individuals with great backgrounds.
I’m so proud of Clarke. He’s done an amazing job of telling his incredible difficult abusive story and it’s not easy to do. You’ve definitely made me re think about some things when you talk about reliving that same story over and over so that you can talk about it in public without being completely destroyed every time, I haven’t really done this yet, other than I writing my childhood memoir. In writing my story and doing the audio version, (which I said, I’d never do) I feel like I covered a lot of ground. But after hearing Clarkes amazing story I might need to dig a little deeper. I especially love the story at the end where he talks about his new life and emotional intelligence, and overall personal awareness of who he is as a grown man. Thank you for covering this extremely difficult topic and sharing how you did not allow your past to dictate your future! God bless you! Cannot wait to read your book! If you are interested my book is called The size of Everything! All the best to you Clarke! Dalton you are an excellent interviewer you should be very proud of your show. Cannot wait to listen to more content!
