What listeners say

A curated, balanced selection of Apple Podcasts reviews.

I love this show! I just found it and am currently binging it. Unlike many shows where the hosts constantly interrupt good stories with their annoying comments, this show lets the guests fully tell their stories. The host only asks questions when necessary. I highly recommend it!

I listen to podcasts all day M-F so I burn through allllll of them and this has become my favorite. It is so well done, so smart, such interesting stories. I wish I hadn’t found it as soon as I did bc there’s nothing left to binge!!! Just beautifully done. HUGE fan.

mcatgarrison · Aug 2026

Very enjoyable podcast! I love the variety of topics, and the credibility and sincerity of the storytellers. It’s refreshing that most have a decent vocabulary, and comfort in speaking.

Busabumnym · Aug 2026

Love this house, great variety. Exactly the type of podcast I’ve been seeking, so many diverse episodes you can listen to for hours on a long drive

JohnnySapouri · Aug 2026

The actual content of this pod is good, but my god the guests ramble and they include so much extra info that isn’t relevant to their stories. I don’t need to know the details of the lunch they used to bring to school if the story is about a poltergeist they saw on the train. Other pods seem to be able to have guests tell their stories and edit them to ensure they aren’t chock full of unnecessary ramblings, but this one hasn’t done so yet. And this is a recurring theme throughout all of the episodes I’ve listened to.

Lish65161 · Oct 2025

Love the stories, but is rough listening to Jack and the way he makes awkward pauses. It reminds me of middle school theater tryouts where the pacing is super weird for “dramatic emphasis.” It’d be cool if he could just relax and talk normally like the guests do. I fast forward through Jack to avoid that.
