Love the show generally but these Halloween countdown episodes feel like a marketing money grab. 4 minutes of ads for 1:30 of a story? Not worth listening and frankly feels disrespectful to the listener base.
I truly enjoy each episode. I listen to them at least twice. They are packed with interesting facts and you get to listen to the POV of people who don’t believe in anything paranormal. I find that incredibly fascinating.
I love this show and the hosts and the way stories are unpacked, but I think they are so concerned with creating this high, frantic energy around the episode that it takes away from diving deeper into the stories. They rush through sentences and talk over each other and I feel like the episodes are too short and watered down. The premise and concept are there, it just feels way too rushed and diluted. People want to dive deeper, not rushed through the show.
This podcast is my absolute favourite. Danny is such a great lead of this programme, the team with him is the perfect balance of expertise, science and the unknown. Every episode is entertaining and super interesting. I’m re listening to the whole three series now. Can wait for the new season.
The Halloween countdown sounded interesting, but it’s just barely a minute of story sandwiched by ads that last at least as twice as long as the tepid story being retold. Money grab much? Disappointing and surprising that a show under the BBC banner would pull such a cheap trick. Unfollowed.
