This podcast is wonderful in that it takes a show that is clearly beloved by fans and discusses it in a way that honors the show but also take a critical eye. It’s smart funny and definitely worth a listen for fans of Burn Notice.
If you’re smart enough to understand that things you love may also be flawed this is the podcast for you. If you’re looking to be reassured that you are smart and awesome, this is not the podcast for you.
The hosts, Bri and Chris, are great and hilarious. And this is a good excuse to rewatch a show I vaguely remember watching in my younger years. Subscribe!
The hosts seem incredibly unprepared and don’t seem to know the show all that well. They have a difficult time discussing the show with each other and actively listening to the other person. For example, Bri is constantly interrupting Chris and both hosts seem to just be waiting for the other person to be done talking so that they can talk again. They miss huge plot points (Chris seems to get it more than Bri) and don’t seem to like the show at all.
If you are a film student, and you have been looking for a critical breakdown of a network cable show from 2007, this is the podcast for you. If you are a fan of Burn Notice, it may be tough to listen to two people incessantly rip on the show, while simultaneously claiming adoration.
